Tues(14/10) - I went to SS centre and got our documents, I was so happy and called Yeok Teng but she thought I was lying to her. =( So I went to check on the tickets and was planning to buy in the afternoon. We went to Chinatown People's Park to search for agents to buy our air tickets. Finally we decided to buy at the CTC which we think is more reliable and the price is cheaper than the others. So we bought 18.10.08(Sat) tickets, which also means that we are going to fly on this Sat. It is a bit rush but we just wanted to be there early to settle down. *During the process of asking around, we were so shag because we do not know which is better. =( *
Since we already at Chinatown so we went to check the exchange rate and walk around to see our daily necessities. We checked the highest rate is 1SG - 4.60RMB.
Wed(15/10) - We went to do our visa. Luckily the queue to get the queue number is not very long and luckily we had our application forms the last time we went there. Because you have to queue to take your application form and fill it up and queue again to get your queue number. That's how troublesome it is. We got our queue number, 379. It was only 9.50am and it open at 9.00am. Can you imagine how many people there are? Haha We did not wait too long and we went to submit our application forms and we can get it the next day. Fast right? Because we do express service. Express service = Extra money. Haha We were so happy and we went to had our breakfast cum lunch. While waiting for our food, SS centre called Yeok Teng and asked whether our visa is category F. We did not tell the person we wanted category F and we got ourselves category L. Our hearts sank and were so lost. We told our LO, Mr Lim Chor Pee, too but he was flying the next day so he asked us contact another teacher , Mr Lim Choon Boo. So the only way was to collect our passport and ask them can we change. But we know we have to redo the visa again. =( We got no mood to do anything else already. Actually wanted to go Chinatown change our money but we decided to change it tomorrow. So we headed back to school.
Thurs(16/10) - Went down to China Embassy to collect our passport, Mr Lim Choon Boo was there to help us to check if we can change our category type. Today there was so many people, it was so squeezy. The queue for the payment is very long. We thought we can do our visa again by today and get it by the next day. So i went to queue to get our queue number. But who knows, we need our original IPA to get category F, we only have the photocopy IPA. Thus, we continue to wait to collect our passport. Mr Lim told us to postpone our flights because the original IPA is on the way here. Mr Lim is so kind, he helped us pay for the visa that we made wrongly. We were very shy to take the money because is not his fault and he used his own money. He told us to take this as a lesson learnt. THANKS MR LIM ! While waiting for our passport, we were very scared that we cannot postpone our flights. I heard before that once the e-ticket is been issued out we cannot do any changes to it. So after we got our documents we went out to call the agency. At first they told me that we cannot postpone and if we have to cancel it we will not get any refund. We were very "sian". We called Mr Lim and he asked us to plead them and he see what the school can do. I called again and this time the person told me to wait and said " we can postpone for you". SO HAPPY ! I faster called Mr Lim and he confirmed with me to postpone to 1/11 which means is 2 weeks later. We make a trip down to the agency as they need us to go down and make changes. So.... now we are confirmed flying on the 01.11.08 - 24.01.09. =)
Fri(17/10) - We went to school as per normal. We emailed the company and asked what we can prepared for ourselves here first.
So is my week full of emotions? Happy, sad, worry, scare and etc... Haha
